Signage is such a cute, and often quite functional, addition to your wedding day decor. Add some style, texture and design to your big day with these 5 sign ideas.

1. Welcome Sign!

The welcome sign is such a fun way to let your guests know that they’ve arrived and the party is about to begin! Keep it simple and formal, or be a little cheeky with your wording. I love these in big beautiful frames, on modern acrylic or hand lettered on wood.

2. Ceremony Signage

People like to know what’s happening throughout the day, so signs around the ceremony can be a good idea. This could be a sign in lieu of a wedding program or a schedule of events sign. A trend I’m totally loving is the “unplugged ceremony” sign, a chance to remind your guests to enjoy the ceremony and leave the photos to the photographer.

3. Bar Sign

Of course, you can display your wine and beer selections, but I personally adore a bar sign. I especially love them with illustrations of the cocktails, to get guests excited for the drinks! I particularly love these cutting board bar signs.

4. Directional Signage

You may want some signage to help direct guests from the ceremony to the cocktail hour to the reception, so why not make it extra special with some unique signs.

5. Menu Signs

If you’re having a buffet, I think it’s really helpful to let the guests know what their options are going to be. Add a large menu sign to the beginning of the buffet line to get mouths watering.

6. Dessert Sign

If you have lots of dessert choices, it’s always nice to give  your guests an idea of what they are choosing among. And I can’t resist the opportunity for a sweet dessert-themed quote.

7. Hashtag sign

If it isn’t on instagram, did it even happen? Make sure you get all the pics your guests post by displaying your hashtag for everyone to see!

8. Tell them about something special

Did you hand-pick the wine together on a special trip to wine country? Is the wedding favor your mom’s famous spiced nut recipe? Make sure those special touches to your wedding don’t go unnoticed by adding a simple framed sign explaining the significance.
